Dr Simon Davis, BSc, PhD

Simon is an Advanced Research Fellow at Imperial College London specialising in new and novel analytical techniques and instrumentation. Simon has held post-doctoral research positions at the Lawrence Berkley National Laboratory and Queens University.

He has a particular interest in sports drugs and doping control and has acted as a consultant and expert witness for many high-profile athletes including cyclist Floyd Landis, athlete Merlene Ottey and hammer thrower Vadim Devyatovskiy. Simon has also run the drug testing programme for the World and European ‘Strongest Man’ competition. Simon continues to develop new techniques and instrumentation help to improve drug testing for the occupational health community.
